Officers earn top honors at national shooting competition | People

Authorities with the Norman Police Department say a few officers traveled to a national competition and came home with awards.
Officers traveled to New Mexico to compete in the National Police Shooting Championship.
Participants fired both revolvers, shotguns and semi-automatic pistols from various distances to see who came closest to hitting the target.
Detective David King brought home one 1st place award, two 3rd place awards and one 5th place award.
Sgt. Robert Wasoski earned five 3rd place awards, one 4th place award and one 5th place award.
Sgt. William Crews won two 1st place awards, one 2nd place award, two 3rd place awards, one 4th place award and two 5th place awards.
MPO Joshua Barker earned two 1st place awards, one 3rd place award, two 4th place awards and two 5th place awards.
MPO Jeremy Garnand earned three 1st place awards, one 2nd place award, one 3rd place award, one 4th place award and two 5th place awards.
The officers were competing against 600 other participants from various departments around the country.
