OU implementing tobacco free policy | Health
While tobacco can usually be found on many college campuses, a local university is hoping to help students kick the habit.
The University of Oklahoma announced that it plans to become a "Tobacco Free Campus" by July 2012.
Organizers say they are currently implementing a campus-wide tobacco free policy.
In addition to the policy change, Healthy Sooners has committed itself to pay the cost of smoking cessation classes for students, faculty and staff.
The Healthy Sooners program has been created to encourage students to partake in nutrition and fitness, along with tobacco and alcohol programs.
