Noble soldier killed in Afghanistan | Families
The Department of Defense announced the death of a local soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Officials say 28-year-old Sgt. Allen R. McKenna Jr. was killed Tuesday in Kandahar province, Afghanistan.
He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division based out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
McKenna, who goes by "Robby," was a husband and father of three boys.
He was from Noble, Oklahoma.
