National Weather Festival comes to Norman | Events
Oklahomans know a thing or two about weather but a festival in Norman will showcase the knowledge gained from years of research this weekend.
The National Weather Festival in Norman will feature children's activities, weather technology, demonstrations, weather product showcases and hourly weather balloon launches.
The festival will be located at the National Weather Center and will showcase the popular Storm Chaser Car Show, featuring storm chasing cars that have been severely damaged by Oklahoma weather.
Awards will be given for more hail damage, most working sensors, most unique and most cutting-edge.
The festival will also feature amateur radio demonstrations and tours through the National Weather Center's facilities.
The festival will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public.
