Guns & Hoses Turkey Bowl takes the field | Community Spirit

For those who are still weeping over the recent loss to Notre Dame, the Norman Police Department is inviting football fans to cheer for a good cause this week.

The 3rd annual Guns and Hoses Turkey Bowl football game will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Norman North High School football field.

The game will pit firefighters against police officers in an effort to raise money for Compassion Pointe.

In addition to the athletic entertainment, fans can enjoy celebrity coaches, half-time entertainment and concessions.

Once at the game, guests can also purchase t-shirts to support their team.

The recommended donation at the gate is $5 per person.

Funds raised will benefit Compassion Pointe, which is a local charity that does a lot of work in the Norman community.

The Norman North High School field is located at 1809 Stubbeman.
